Chaudhary Wajid Ali Chatha

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Prof. Dr. Wajid Ali Chatha is an MBBS graduate of a prestigious public sector institute of Pakistan, Rawalpindi Medical College. After graduation, took up Anatomy as a career and, with an aim to excel in the field, gained admission into the fellowship training program of College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan. This post graduate qualification is recognized by Royal Colleges of UK and GCC due to its highest set standard of training. He is a trainee of Prof. M. Yunus Khan, a very senior and eminent Anatomist of Asia.

          Fellowship in Anatomy (FCPS) is a 4 year research based postgraduate qualification, awarded on the basis of clearing an entrance exam (FCPS-I) and a final exam (FCPS-II) that includes theory, practical, viva and successful defence of thesis. It is accepted equivalent to Ph.D. in Middle East and Pakistan.

          Now, he has an experience of, more than 12 years, teaching Anatomy at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is at ease in teaching Neuroanatomy, Embryology, Histology, Gross Anatomy at all levels. He is well versed with teaching by old traditional system and integrated / PBL based teaching system. From time to time he has been a part of curriculum development and planning teams. He is a self-motivated team player having excellent communication, observational, analytical and interpersonal skills. He is also well versed in latest teaching techniques including 3D- Anatomy and Lectora teaching software. He has a good command in English too.

He is a reviewer and author of many articles in the journals of repute. Currently he is working on a self-designed university funded research projects.

          He has been designated and approved as Professor of Anatomy by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, taking into account his years of experience and publications.

          He has been approved by the CPSP as the supervisor for fellowship training of Anatomy. 

        Based on his qualifications and experience, he has been awarded Fellowship in Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow in 2020. FRCS(Glasg). He is also member of Royal Society of Biology UK
