Dr. Mohd Imran (Associate Professor) is an academician and pharmaceutical research scientist. He was a University Gold Medalist in Master of Pharmacy and completed his Ph.D. in 2006 from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), India. He has worked as a Research Scientist in the Patent Department of Wockhardt Pharmaceuticals and Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited for about eight years. While at Ranbaxy, he received the “Employee of the Quarter Award” in 2011 and the “Team Excellence Award” in 2012. He joined the College of Pharmacy, Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia, in October 2013. Dr Mohd Imran has earned many recognitions and appreciation certificates, including the “Best Teacher Certificate” in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2014-2015); the “Best Member Certificate” of the QAAU Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy (2014-2015), and the “Best Researcher Certificate” of the College of Pharmacy (2020-2023) during his stay at Northern Border University. Dr Imran is a recognized University researcher and has also received the "Research Journey Award" in May 2024. He is actively involved in teaching and research. He has over 180 publications that have been cited over 2445 times and is listed among the top 2% of researchers globally based on citations by Stanford University. To his credit, he has twelve patents/patent application filings (USA, Germany, UK, South Africa, India, and WIPO). He has been serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of many reputed journals.
