Specific objectives:
1. Describe the etiology, clinical manifestations, management and nursing interventions for common medical conditions related to diabetes, endocrine, urinary, musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
2. Demonstrate physical examination for at least 2 cases with different diagnoses.
3. Describe nurses' role in different medications used in the medical ward.
4. Analyze lab investigations in relation to the standard values commonly used in the medical ward.
5. Identify the importance of health education, preventive measures and the nurse's role in the management of chronic disease conditions.
6. Demonstrates skills in the common therapeutic modalities in the medical ward (NGT feeding. Urinary catheterization including care. Chart physiotherapy oxygen therapy. Medication administration and blood transfusion.
