By the end of this course, the student should be able to;

  1. Explain fluid, fluid properties, and/or stresses in fluids at rest and in motion. (a1)
  2. Explain pressure measurements and hydrostatics forces on submerged bodies. (3a1,3e)
  3. Determine flow types, acceleration and rate of flow for fluid flow problems (3a,3e)
  4. Apply momentum equation in fluid flow problems.  (3a,3e)
  5. Apply Bernoulli equation. (3a,3e)
  6. Analysis the flow through pipes using the basic fluid flow equations. (3a,3e)

Perform the basic fluid mechanics experiments. (3b)
