Dr Shezan Arefin
Dr. Shezan Arefin is an expert in Renewable Energy Integration, Power System Analysis, Power Transmission/Distribution systems, Power Quality Analysis. He ranked in the world's Top 2% Scientists (back-to-back 3 years) as listed by Elsevier (in collaboration with Stanford University). He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of the Electrical Engineering department and a chair professor at Prince Faisal Bin Sultan Centre for Renewable Energy Studies and Application, Northern Border University, Arar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Previously he worked for the Engineering Institute of Technology, Melbourne Campus, Australia as a Senior Lecturer and Unit Coordinator and at Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer subsequently. He was an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of the Green University of Bangladesh and a lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Uttara University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Moreover, previously he was working as a grid connection and renewable energy consultant for Doosan GridTech Inc. Melbourne office, Australia and for Middleton Group as a Power System consultant. He completed his PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, in 2021. He received his Master of Engineering degree from the University of Malaya, in 2016. Moreover, he received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, China, in 2013. His research interests and technical expertise lie in Microgrid design and analysis, Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems, Power System Modelling and Analysis, grid connection studies, feasibility studies, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Optimization, Control Systems, Power Electronics, BESS Monitoring and Control technique and Energy Economics, etc.
