1.  Course Description

Introduces the students to the basic science of hematology, it covers all information essential in understanding the normal hematology. That is, all the steps involved in the composition of blood, the later part of course explains in great detail the abnormal (pathological) situations leading to anemia occurrence.

 

2. Course Main Objective

This course covers the blood composition, hematopoiesis and its requirements, erythrocytes and their disorders, hemoglobin and leukocyte structure and function.
