1.  Course Description:

This course has been designed to prepare medical laboratory technology students, responsibility, knowledgeable and motivated for lifelong-learning in the clinical area of Blood banking. Building up the basic knowledge of serological testing and blood group system based upon required reading on pre-transfusion testing, clinical conditions associated with immunohematology, possible complication of transfusion and the practical aspects of transfusion medicine. Emphasis will be placed on the development of student’s skills for interpreting results, problem-solving and decision-making. Laboratory session will provide students the opportunity to practice routine pre-transfusion testing procedure
