Dr. Yasir Mehmood Abdul Haq, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College, Punjab university, Pakistan in 2002. He received a General Surgery Fellowship from The College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan (CPSP) in 2009. He worked as an assistant professor at Al-Nafees Medical College of Islamabad, Pakistan from 2009 to 2012.

He joined the Faculty of Medicine, Northern Border University, in 2012.  He is a member of various committees and head of the Clinical Training Unit of the Faculty of Medicine.
