The Bacteriology (I) course is one of the compulsory courses in the study plan of the bachelor's degree program in Microbiology, as it provides a conceptual and experimental background about bacterial cell structure, morphological characteristics of bacteria, internal structure, cell wall structure and the difference between Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria, bacterial movement, endospore formation, bacterial nutrition, growth and reproduction. Also, it will cover the basis of bacterial identification and classification in a way sufficient to enable students to take courses that are more advanced in related fields.
