This course is intended to help the students to gain the basic knowledge and skills to deal with Diagnostic Parasitology Mainly Medical Protozoology and Entomology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, therefore, the student will learn the human parasites, systematic study of The student will learn the biological and clinical aspects of human protozoa, systematic study of the protozoan infections includes Amoeba, oro-intestinal urogenital and haemo-somatic flagellates, blood and tissue protozoa, and intestinal coccidia. Also the life cycle of vectors which have a role in the transmission of certain parasites and their medical importance. Also, the students will receive training in the recognition of groups of protozoa, modes of infection, life cycles, as well as different diagnostic methods. It should include a reasonable amount of knowledge of the fundamental principles and factors which operate in the acquisition, establishment, and maintenance of different parasitic diseases. Furthermore, knowledge of the parasitic diseases prevalent in neighboring countries and to meet these diverse needs and conditions.
