The course is designed to provide the students with fundamentals of genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology including restriction enzymes, vectors, modifying Enzymes and basic principles of cloning. Techniques used in the generation of recombinant DNA and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Applications of genetic engineering in different fields including environmental biotechnology, agriculture and medical field.
