The course (1103-103) is a fundamental course for the students of Medical colleges: Biology for Medical Colleges is designated for the first-year students in the College of Medicine, College of Applied and Medical Sciences, College of Nursing, and the College of Pharmacy. The course focuses on the building of basic concepts in biology and its sub-disciplines. In this course, the student learns about the concept of the hierarchical structure of life, ecosystems, and biodiversity. The student also studies the cell, as a structural and functional unit of life and the cell’s organelles. The student also learns about the types of tissues in the human body and the functional systems (digestive - respiratory - circulatory - excretory). The student studies the basics of genetics and genetic transmission. The student ends the course by studying the basics of immunity and the immune system and the foundations of reproduction and embryogenesis in human.

مقرر الأحياء الطبية (1103-103)  هو مقرر تأسيسي لطلاب الكليات الصحية: طلاب السنة الأولى في كلية الطب و كلية العلوم الطبية التطبيقية و كلية التمريض و كلية الصيدلة . يركز المقرر على بناء المفاهيم الأساسية في علوم الأحياء  و التخصصات الفرعية لعلوم الأحياء. يتعرف الطالب خلال مقرر الأحياء الطبية على مفهوم البناء الهرمي للحياة و النظم البيئية و التنوع الحيوي. كما يدرس الطالب الخلية بما هي وحدة الحياة البنائية و الوظيفية و العضيات المكونة للخلية . و يتعرف الطالب على أنواع الأنسجة في جسم الإنسان و الأجهزة (الهضمي- التنفسي- الدوري - الإخراجي) و يدرس الطالب أساسيات علم الوراثة و الإنتقال الوراثي . و ينهي الطالب المقرر بدراسة أساسيات المناعة و الجهاز المناعي  و أسس التكاثر و التكون الجنيني عند الإنسان.
