Mohamed Ashour
Associate professor of Pharmacognosy & alternative medicine
Faculty of Pharmacy - Northern Border university.
He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University in May 1992, and obtained a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences (pharmacognosy) from Al-Azhar University in 2000, and obtained his PhD in pharmaceutical sciences (Marine Nat. Prod. chemistry) from Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf (North Rhine State) in Germany in 2006, then, returned to work as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University until 2012 and then moved to work at Omar Al-Mukhtar University in Libya from 2012 to 2015, he was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 2014, He moved to work at the Northern Border University since 2016 until now, he was promoted to the rank of Professor of Pharmacognosy and Natural Products at Al-Azhar University since 29-6-2022. Participated in teaching pharmaceutical sciences related to natural products and their applications in the faculties of pharmacy (Al-Azhar University - Heinrich Heine University - Omar Al-Mukhtar University - Northern Border University), these include pharmacognosy – plant taxonomy- chemistry of natural products - applied pharmacognosy - natural products and evidence-based herbal medicine - herbal medicine and alternative medicine - tissue culture - chromatography ( CC. - TLC. - GC. - IE chr.- Gel Chr. - Gel electrophoresis and Affinity C ) -Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry - Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry - Fundamentals of Instrumental Analysis and its Applications in the Field of Natural Products (NMR- Mass spectrometry- IR- and UV) - Conducted and participated in many valuable scientific researches in the field of natural products obtained from natural sources such as plants, fungi, marine sponges and marine mollusks.
