The course focuses on the techniques for conducting patient interviews and taking medical histories. This includes gathering information about disease- and drug-related issues, as well as collecting patient socio-behavioral data. The curriculum covers reviewing medical records and data collection, interpreting laboratory values, and performing vital signs assessments while accurately interpreting the results. Additionally, the course includes training on the Glasgow Coma Scale, Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, and the clinical examination of individual organ systems. Students will learn to examine extremities and the back, the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, and conduct a neurological examination of the central nervous system (CNS). Finally, the course emphasizes the professional recording of clinical and laboratory findings and the interpretation of these findings to aid in diagnosis and pharmacotherapy planning
