Students will learn about various sources, types, and evaluations of drug information resources and how to search for these resources to respond to specific queries effectively. The course emphasizes critical analysis of results, applying an evidence-based approach, and integrating knowledge of clinical evidence. Additionally, the fundamentals of research will be explored, including measures of reliability and validity, ethical concerns, types of research studies, and the qualifications of clinical evidence. Students will also learn how to formulate clinical questions based on given clinical scenarios and respond effectively after conducting literature searches and critically evaluating the results.
