Nejib Ghazouani
Dr. Nejib Ghazouani graduated from Tunis El Manar University with a BSc, MSc, and PhD in 2003, 2007, and 2012, respectively. He worked as an assistant professor at Tunis University before becoming an assistant professor in the civil engineering department at Northern Border University in 2014. He taught the following structural engineering courses: Engineering mechanics – statics, 1410200—Mechanics of materials, 1410201—Structural Analysis 1, 1401202 - Structural Analysis 2, 1401303 - B.Sc. Project 1, 1401491 - B.Sc. Project 2, 1401492 – Special topics in civil engineering 1, 1401497 – Computer applications in , 1401491 - His research interests include continuum mechanics and structural engineering with practical experience in the design and construction of steel structures. Dr. Nejib has made several consulting contributions to environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) studies of solar and wind energy projects in Saudi Arabia (Sakaka IPP solar plant, Starah wind energy project, Hadhen and Moyah solar projects).
He recently led a research team that got a grant from the Ministry of Education (MOE) as part of the RDO's International Collaboration Initiative. He is now leading the team to design, build, and run a solar-powered greenhouse pilot system that is self-sufficient with water and energy. He received an award from the university for that.
