English 1 for students of the Applied Colleges covers A1 level according the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is an intensive course that aims at developing the four basic skills that students need in everyday life.  It emphasizes integrated skills learning, life-related themes and texts, extensive practice as well as providing students with the most necessary 200 vocabulary items according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This course adopts a communicative approach towards language teaching and learning, hence, grammar is experienced through reading, writing, speaking and listening.
